What cookies Orivia uses, why we use them, and how you can control them.
We use the minimum number of cookies necessary to operate Orivia. We do not use advertising cookies or sell cookie data to third parties.
Cookies are small text files that websites place on your device when you visit them. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently and to provide information to website owners.
Cookies can be "session cookies" (deleted when you close your browser) or "persistent cookies" (stored on your device for a set period). They can be set by the website you're visiting ("first-party cookies") or by third-party services on that site ("third-party cookies").
Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, and pixel tags; we use these for the same purposes described in this policy.
These cookies are strictly necessary for Orivia to function. Without them, you cannot log in, navigate pages, or use core features. These cookies cannot be disabled.
These cookies remember your settings and choices, such as your language preference (English or Japanese) and dark/light mode, so you don't have to reset them every visit. Disabling these means your preferences won't be saved between sessions.
These cookies help us understand how Orivia is used: which features are popular, where users get stuck, and how we can improve the experience. All analytics data is aggregated and anonymized. You can opt out without affecting functionality.

Some features of Orivia involve third-party services that may set their own cookies:
When you make a payment, our payment provider (Stripe) may set cookies to process transactions securely and prevent fraud. These are governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.
If you sign in with Google or Apple, those providers may set cookies as part of the OAuth flow. These are governed by their respective privacy policies.
We use a privacy-first analytics solution that does not use third-party advertising cookies, does not fingerprint users, and does not share data with ad networks. All analytics data is owned by Orivia.
We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or similar advertising-focused tracking tools.
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Note that blocking essential cookies will prevent you from logging in and using core features of Orivia.
We respect the Do Not Track (DNT) browser signal. When DNT is enabled, we disable analytics cookies automatically.
You can opt out of analytics cookies without affecting your ability to use Orivia. To do so, email us at privacy@orivia.digital with the subject "Analytics Opt-Out."
We may update this Cookie Policy as we introduce new features or in response to regulatory changes. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email.
The "Effective" date at the top of this page reflects when this policy was last updated. Continued use of Orivia after changes constitutes your acceptance.
We're happy to explain anything in plain language. Just send us a message.
